Hi Loyal Readers,
It's hard for me to write this post, but it also lightens my heart.
After a year and a half of "Helping you get the most popular products free after rebate!" I've made the difficult decision to stop blogging here.
I've been on a blogging break since June, and I thought it would refresh me but it has showed me that I need to re-prioritize things in my life permanently, with respect to my "free time" activities.
Blogging has been a roller coaster ride that I have thoroughly enjoyed! I never knew the blogosphere was out there and as powerful as it is until I joined it. I learned about blogging, etiquette, Twitter, networking and met all kinds of wonderful people who I am honored to call friends (I know there are a ton I am leaving off here but I think Blogger has a character limit maybe?). I've learned so much from each of you, whether it was a blogging tip, a cool new tool, a freebate deal, or just what was going on with your day. I've been offered amazing opportunities to try out new things for free and offer a lot of them to you.
Authoring Hooray for Freebates is a side of me that not a lot of people in my "other" (non-bloggy) life know about. But it is a side of me that has grown this last year and a half and has allowed my "other" self to grow and learn as well. So many of the lessons I've learned in blogging have definitely translated into my "other" life in a positive manner.
Okay, so I'm not trying to be all sobby and stuff. I'm just trying to tell you THANK YOU for making this blog what it has become, and for teaching me a thing or two.
I'm not "deleting" it or shutting it down. I'm leaving it up, but won't be posting anything. You'll still have access to active information that is already here:

I'm not "deleting" it or shutting it down. I'm leaving it up, but won't be posting anything. You'll still have access to active information that is already here:
- Use the links to the right to find "Active Freebates" expiring through 2010.
- Check out the blogs of some awesome ladies who also post timely frugal information, also listed to the right.
- Don't forget the Savings Solutions, Organizing Solutions, reviews, how to's, and introductory information!
A few other notes: I am turning off comments. The email address will still be active but if I respond it will not be timely. I'm still going to be on twitter but will be changing my "name". I'll let you know what it is when I figure it out. :)
Thank you again to all of you for sharing this blog and roller coaster ride with me!

Your blog was the first one I found a couple years ago when I first started looking for coupon info on the internet. I have learned so much and profited greatly from your blog and so many others. Thanks for all your hard work! Good luck in the future!
Thank you so much for all the great freebate advice you shared with us over the past 1.5 years. You will be missed by this cheapskate! :-)
Best wishes to you and your family!
This is so bittersweet for me, as you were one of the main people who inspired me to start blogging. Thank you for your hard work, and dedication to getting things for free!
