Ok, so you should know all about Alice by now, since I've been talking about it for months. Alice saves you time by eliminating store trips so you can do things that do matter. Today is the big day for Alice: launch day!
Alice is a pretty nifty service.
I had the wonderful opportunity to test out Alice a few weeks ago, and I liked it. The feel of the site is pretty neat. It's like you're actually in a store, pulling items off the shelf and putting them into your basket! You can select from thousands of products and put the ones that you frequently use on your own personalized shelves. At any moment in time you can see images of all of your products on one page.
Searching for a product with Alice is easy. You can also filter by green/organic, premium or bargain products. I was really surprised by all the quality, brand name products that are available: Huggies, Friskies, Charmin, Gillette, Kashi, Seventh Generation and more. Although just getting started, Alice’s product assortment is very broad, and they plan to continue to offer both major brands and the specialty brands you can’t always find on the store shelf.
You won’t overpay for the tremendous convenience of Alice either. The prices at Alice are competitive. I got toddler toothpaste and cat treats at prices lower than the big box store I normally shop.
Alice even has a completely new couponing system. They automatically find and apply coupons for you on thousands of products, making it easy to save even more without any extra effort. This might not impress those of you who are used to getting a lot of your shopping for free or for pennies on the dollar. But for those who aren't coupon clippers, you'll still get the benefit of a coupon without pulling out the scissors.
Alice is kinda like Netflix in the sense that you'll never run out of something using their management system. If you know you need shaving cream every month, drag & drop the shaving cream into the monthly reminder category, and Alice will let you know when it's time to reorder. Oh, and did I mention shipping is always free at Alice?
Which brings me to the packaging. I was concerned that I was contributing to making more waste with the additional packaging materials. I learned that Alice's packaging is made from recyclables & is recyclable itself. Also, without brick-and-mortar locations, Alice saves the material and land resources from the building of actual physical stores. I was glad to see that Alice is dedicated to minimizing environmental impact.
